About Merida

Mérida is the cultural center of the Yucatan state in Mexico, renowned as the most peaceful city in Mexico, Mérida contains a sophisticated and cosmopolitan blend with theaters, concerts, museums, parks and numerous cultural events occurring throughout the city each week. Mérida's convenient location in the Gulf state of the Yucatan enhances its appeal: only thirty minutes to the Gulf Coast beaches, Mérida is regularly served by flights on Continental Airlines that connect to major cities in the United States. Merida is a short, three hour drive from the beaches of the Riviera Maya, and within an easy drive of major Mayan ruins, including Chichen Itza, recently named one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

 

Policies

Reservations and Payments A $800 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your babymoon vacation package. Full payment is due no later than 60 days prior to departure. If reservations are made within 60 days before departure, the full amount will be billed for all babymoon vacations. Payments may be made by replying to our emails containing the Paypal payment requests. You do not need a paypal account. We accept all major credit cards. Unfortunately, we cannot take payments over the phone at this time however, please feel free to call us to check on trip availability or request a reservation for a babymoon vacation. We will then send you an email payment request. Late payments Any reservations not paid in full within 60 days before departure will be considered canceled. The $800 deposit cannot be refunded and your babymoon package will no longer be reserved for you. It is very important that you reply to our emailed paypal payment requests. Please contact us if you have not received your payment request within 7 days after you submit your reservation request form. Transfers If you change your plans and wish to transfer to a different date, we can give you a different reservation for your babymoon vacation (subject to availability), and transfer all payments you have made to the new reservation. If you notify us of such a change more than 60 days before the original departure date, there is no fee and no penalty for this change. Refund and Cancellation Policy All cancellations and refund requests must be made by emailing us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You will be assessed a cancellation penalty depending on how far in advance we receive this notification, as shown below. This is necessary to cover non-refundable payments we've made.  You will receive a refund of all payments made to date, minus the applicable penalty. There are no exceptions to this policy, including weather, sickness or injury, or terrorism. We advise you to purchase trip insurance, which will protect you in case of an emergency.   The $800 deposit is non-refundable. Refunds of final payments in case of trip cancellation will be honored as follows:   More than 60 days prior to departure: Full refund less $800 deposit.   60 to 31 days prior to departure 50% refund less $800 deposit.   30-0 days prior to departure: We are sorry but no refund can be given. No refunds will be made after commencement of your travel, whether for early termination, voluntary absence, or for any unused services. Prices are quoted as a package, and no partial refunds will be given for unused hotel rooms, meals, or other trip arrangements, for any reason whatsoever. Refund of payments made constitutes full settlement, and releases MexicaChica Getaways from any further liability. Refund credit payments will be made directly to the credit card used to secure your initial reservation. We do not issue checks or cash. Please allow 2 weeks for administration of refunds. All disputes and claims regarding services shall be resolved by way of negotiation and mutual understanding.   When is the best time to go? The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists deems flying safe during healthy pregnancies (with the second trimester generally considered safest). In addition, you set your departure date for up most convenience. You pick the date and we do the rest!   Dietary Restrictions Please let us know about any dietary restrictions during your reservation request. We do our best to accommodate any requests with advance notice.
